Biomedical intervention for treatment requires understanding the complicated health issues that encompass autism spectrum and behavioral disorders require an approach that includes multiple disciplines for successful treatment. Some of the underlying imbalances affecting autism spectrum and behavioral disorders can stem from combinations of genetic predisposition, hidden food sensitivity, vitamin and mineral depletion, gastrointestinal distress, compromised immune function as well as environmental toxins.
One of the approaches that Dr. Pelletier utilizes is the ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) program. This program encompasses formal training and experience to determine which tests can help detect metabolic imbalances and develop a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses the individual needs of each patient. ASD Is under the direction of Maureen Pelletier MD, ASD Physician, and Clinical Pharmacist, James LaValle R Ph, MS, CCN and Dietitian, Laura LaValle, RD, LD. In addition Dr. Pelletier will rely on other modalities including DNA testing and RNA work via the Yasko protocol.
