The Metabolic Code Diet consists primarily of organic protein sources, organic vegetables including lettuces and greens, organic nuts, beans, legumes, fruits and healthy organic fats. Grain and starch servings should be limited and your individual dietitian will determine how many daily servings are recommended. Because food allergies and intolerances are involved in so many health conditions, the diet also eliminates the intake of wheat (and/or gluten depending on the health condition) as well as cow’s milk dairy as much as possible.

Preparing foods at home is the ideal scenario to ensure that you are eating organic and wheat and dairy free. However, we understand that many of our client’s lifestyles demand convenience foods. We have found some restaurants, home meal delivery services and ingredient/meal assembly businesses offering some metabolic code diet friendly foods. Try to avoid beef that is not organic, or anti-biotic and hormone-free by ordering fish or chicken selections instead.
.
Here is a list of resources to utilize for convenience to support your metabolic code diet program.

Meal Delivery Services

Your Dinner Secret
818-888-6338

This service offers frozen entrees like American Turkey Meatloaf with sides like Garlicky Spinach. Combine with a salad and dinner is done. Gluten free starches such as gluten free hamburger buns are available too. Chicken, beef and turkey are hormone and antibiotic-free. (Avoid higher carbohydrate items such as turkey macaroni, and count any roll, rice or potato within your daily starch servings. All items are dairy free).

Artiko
888-278-4567

Search this website for a variety of meal options that are delivered nationwide. Low carbohydrate meals are available under the special diets tab. Menu items such as their five bean and wild mushroom soup would be a great accompaniment to their low carb pesto salmon with squash medley. (Look for gluten-free options coming soon, but in the meantime try to avoid wheat and cow’s milk products such as cheese). Foods are not organic.

Home Bistro
1-800-628-5588

Request a catalog of these chef-prepared meals. This meal delivery service is not particularly tuned in to offering wheat and dairy free foods. The foods aren’t organic, but they state that they use fresh local ingredients. However, you may find some appropriate meal items under their Low Carbohydrate meal options where they offer meat/ poultry and fish with vegetable side dishes. (Watch for dairy and wheat ingredients in their dishes, especially their sauces).
